Joe's mum doesn't like the "gang" he hangs around with. They argue and Joe decides to take his mum at her word and teach her a lesson but Joe bites off more than he can chew.

ARTISTS WANTED

Function Factory Theatre in association with Fusion Community Arts are looking for artists from different disciplines to run stand alone workshops for their "EVOLVE" project over the next 6 months.

Artists must:
            a)        have experience of leading sessions with children and young             people.
            b)        have recent Enhanced CRB disclosure.
            c)        be self employed.

            * Evidence of CRB and self employed status must be provided.

What we are looking for:

Artists who can lead sessions with different age groups and / or family sessions where children and parents are encouraged to work together.

Workshops will normally last for a maximum of two hours.

Workshops will take place at various community locations around Pendle.

We are delighted to announce that Fusion Community Arts have recently been awarded grants by two major funding bodies.  An award of £5,000 from The Community Foundation for Lancashire's "Grassroots Grants" enables the continued running of "The Fuse", "Fuse 1318" and "Bright Fusion" Samba Band.

A £10,000 award from The Lottery's "Awards for All" grants scheme enables us to roll out a programme of arts activities across Pendle in the coming year. Watch this space for more details.

Fusion Community Arts impact in Pendle has been recognised by a nomination for The Mayor of Pendle's Community Voluntary Awards.



NOVEMBER 2008

          Function Factory Theatre's Yvonne Tennant was runner up in the Arts Council England (North West) Art08 Awards for her work with Fusion Community Arts and for her work with the arts with the young people of Pendle.
